Howard Wolf is a graduate of Horace Mann School (New York), Amherst College (BA), Columbia University (MA), and the University of Michigan where he won a Hopwood Prize in Fiction and earned a Ph.D. with a psychoanalytic study of Henry James. Currently, he is Professor of American and English Literature at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is the author of Forgive the Father: A Memoir of Changing Generations (New Republic Books) and The Education of a Teacher (Prometheus). He is a son of the Bronx and Manhattan.
